10th Grade: Use of Smart Telephone Report
Introduction
This report reveals telephone usage of students in 10th grade. It also focuses on where and how often they use their phones. The information comes from a questionnaire that 36 students in 10th grade replied.
Question 1: Why?
When we asked the students why they used their smart phones, three-quarters of them replied that they mostly listened to music. Half of the students mentioned that they used their phones to chat with their friends in secret during the day. One in four students also admitted that they used their smart phones to check the web at home every night.
Questions 2 & 3: Where and how often?
Just over half of the students stated that they used their smart phones everywhere they go during the day. However, just under half prefer to keep their phones turned off at school on weekdays. Some also added that they used their phones when they travelled to and from school on public transport or on foot.
Conclusion
To sum up, students may use their smart phones to listen to music, to chat with their friends and to go online. Furthermore, it is also clear that although some prefer to use their phones when they are free, many prefer to use it frequently all day long.
