4 Tips Not to Get Ill

1. Get Some Rest and Sleep

When you get tired, you should rest. How can you rest? You can read a book, watch a movie, or listen to music. Your body needs enough sleep, too. If you do not sleep well, germs enter your body easily. Everybody needs to sleep several hours. Check the list below for the hours.

* 7 to 12 year old children should sleep 10 or 11 hours.

* 12 to 18 year old children should sleep 8 or 9 hours.

2. Eat Good Food

Everybody has to eat healthy food. You have to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. You should eat fresh vegetables and fruit every day. You shouldn’t eat too much chocolate. You should stay away from fast food. Fast food is things like hamburgers and pizzas.

3. Drink Water

Water is very important for your body. You have to drink water. Check the list below to see how much water different people should drink every day.

* 5 to 8 year old children should drink 5 to 6 glasses of water

* 9 to 12 year old children should drink 7 to 8 glasses of water

* 13 year old children and adults should drink 8 to 10 glasses of water.

4. Do Sports

Exercising is very good for your body. Your body becomes healthier. There are different kinds of sports. You can choose one of them and start doing it. The best ones are walking, swimming and riding a bike.
