A Daily Life of a Cowboy

A Daily Life of a Cowboy

Hi! I’m Randy. I’m a cowboy in Montana, USA. I work on a small farm with five other cowboys. There are 500 cows on the farm. In summer, we sleep in a tent because it’s very hot. We get up really early, at 4:30 a.m. We cook breakfast on fire. After breakfast, we start working. We all ride to the ‘cow camp’. In winter, we give food to the cows. In the spring there are a lot of baby cows – or calves. In summer, we move the cows to new places every day. I work 15 hours a day. On Thursdays, we ride in the rodeo. It’s for fun. My job is dangerous but I love it. I love animals and I love my horse. I don’t wear a uniform because we are always on our horses. I always wear jeans and a shirt because they are comfortable. I also have a huge cowboy hat!
