A day of a collage tennis player
My name is Yannick Weihs. I’m a college tennis player and a student at a business school. Many people ask me questions about my daily life. I will tell you what it’s like being a student athlete. I get up at seven o’clock every day. I hate my alarm ringtone because it rings very early, and I feel really tired in the mornings. I live very close to my school and I walk to school. I’m sometimes late for my classes, but I’m so lucky that my teachers are pretty kind , and they don’t get angry easily. My friends and I do a group project and presentation every week so I learn a lot at school. I usually have lunch at twelve o’clock. I like having spaghetti and sandwiches for lunch. After lunch, I always do my homework in the library, and then I go to the training room and meet my friends there. Before training, we chat and exchange the latest news. There are six outdoor courts in my college. My tennis practice starts at half past two and it finishes at five o’clock. After the practice, we go to the gym three times a week. We run and do some stretching exercises there. These activities make us strong. I feel exhausted on these days. I meet my friends and have dinner in our school cafeteria at half past six. This is the best part of my day. I often eat as much as I want. I chat, sit and relax there. I go home after dinner and I go to bed at twelve after I read a book.
