A different look

Last year my family and I decided to go camping for our summer holiday. (1) ............................ Mum and Dad promised to go kayaking, rock climbing and on the photography hike. We got to the park and set up camp. Then, it unexpectedly rained for two days. Our camp got flooded and all our sleeping bags got wet. We had to rent a cabin for the rest of the trip. On the third day, the weather was much better. (2) ............................ However, the river was flowing rapidly because of all the rain. It was too dangerous to go kayaking. My brothers and I were very disappointed. (3) ............................ We followed a guide on the trail. She took us to many beautiful places. I saw an interesting bird and wanted to take its picture. I crept close. SPLAT! I fell in the mud just as I took the picture! I didn’t break my camera but I got all muddy! After the camping trip, I developed my pictures. (4) ............................ It came out perfectly! I got a picture from an interesting angle because I fell in the mud. The photo even won the first prize in my school’s photography contest! I learnt that sometimes people have negative experiences, but if you look at them from a different angle, you can see the positive.
