A Family Dinner
The Clarks go out for dinner every Saturday. They often go to an Italian restaurant. They all love Italian food. The twin girls Suzy and Lucy want to order pasta. The waiter is waiting for their order.
‘Can I have pasta with sausages and tomato sauce? And some orange juice, please,’ says Lucy.
‘I’d like some chicken and spaghetti, and some water please,’ says Suzy.
Their mum and dad order dishes with meat and vegetables.
‘Do you want any dessert for afterwards? We have some chocolate cake and ice-cream,’ says the waiter. ‘Yes, I would like some chocolate cake please,’ says Lucy. ‘Is there any strawberry ice cream?’ asks Suzy. ‘I’m sorry, there isn’t any strawberry. But we have some honey and vanilla, and chocolate ice cream’ says the waiter. ‘Oh, honey and vanilla sounds delicious. I’ll have some of that.’ says Suzy.
‘I’m so hungry now. Listen to my tummy. It’s making funny sounds.’ says Lucy. ‘Here, have some bread and butter’ says her mother. ‘I want some, too.’ says Suzy. ‘Okay, but don’t eat too much. You need to save some room for your meal – and dessert!’ says their mum.
