A Film Day for Our Family

A Film Day for Our Family

Saturday night is the film day for my family, but there is a problem. There are four people in my family and everybody likes different kinds of films.

I am eleven years old, and I like comedies because I want to laugh when I watch a film but my brother is a high school student and his favourite lesson is science and he likes sci-fi films. He says. “When you watch sci-fi films, you just don’t watch a film but you also learn something in science.” My mother likes musicals because she is a music teacher and music is a part of her life. My father likes historical films because he always reads about the past and he always wants to learn more and more about history.

As you can see it is very hard to find a film that everybody will like in our family, so we found a solution: Every week one of us chooses the film for us to watch. Last week it was my father’s week and we watched a film which was about life in the past in England, and this week is my week so I want to choose Mr. Popper’s Penguins which is a very funny film with Jim Carrey.
