A Funny Story Needs Funny Acting!
Linda: Are you going to sit through this?
Jane: Why what’s wrong?
Linda: I think the play is ridiculous and the actors aren’t acting well. Look! This character is thirsty, but he’s drinking the water normally. That’s not how a thirsty person drinks water.
Jane: You’re right. But the story is funny. The man and his donkey are amazing.
Linda: Well, I agree, but a funny story needs funny acting.
Jane: You’re right, but these two characters are the serious ones. The two girls are the funny characters.
Linda: Yeah, I think they’re the best. Catherine is acting as the king’s daughter, right? She’s great.
Jane: I love her acting too. She rehearsed for a long time, and I know she always works hard to get what she wants.
Linda: Right. She came to the rehearsals early and left late in the evening. Huh, look! Here she comes! I’m going to continue watching this.
