A Mysterious Morning

Suddenly, a strange light appeared on top of the car! The light picked the car up off the road and then dropped it again. Everyone was screaming and terrified. Then, they noticed a black powder seeping inside their car and smelt a horrible stench.

Suddenly, a lorry driver entered the police office. He was sweating and his eyes were wide open with fear. He began to explain that he had seen a strange light in the distance while he was driving. He had smelt the same terrible smell as well. The policemen and the family were shocked.

In a state of shock, they quickly drove to the nearest town and went to the police station. They reported the incident to the police, but the police did not believe their story. They thought Mrs Knowles was tired and had been dreaming. The police gave the family some tea so they might calm down.

The police decided to inspect Mrs Knowles car. While inspecting the car, the policemen saw the black powder in the car, smelt the terrible smell and noticed some small dents on the roof of the car.

This story was quickly taken up by some people as proof of the presence of aliens on earth. Other people who prefer to believe in a scientific explanation have suggested that electrical forces in the atmosphere caused this and other inci - dents.

It was a warm autumn day in 1988. Mrs Knowles and her three sons were driving from Perth to Adelaide in the early hours of the morning. When Mrs Knowles saw a light flashing on the road ahead, she slowed down thinking that it was a traffic signal.
