A Terrible Weekend

It was a terrible weekend for Paul! On Saturday, he felt so tired and didn’t want to do anything. On Sunday, he was still tired and he slept all morning. When he woke up, he had a terrible headache and his throat was sore. He sneezed and coughed a lot. His mother Daisy took his temperature and it was 38C! Daisy called Doctor Sparrow and he came. The doctor examined Paul and prescribed some medicine.

Daisy went to the pharmacy and got the medicine. Then, she walked to the greengrocer’s and bought some vegetables. She made vegetable soup for lunch and Paul ate it in bed. He drank some herbal tea and got his medicine. Paul lay in bed all afternoon. He felt miserable all day long. He didn’t want to do anything.

He got out of bed at dinner time. He felt a bit better, so he stayed up after dinner. He snuggled under a blanket on the couch and watched TV, and he fell asleep in front of it.

The next morning he felt better but he didn’t go to school. He needed more rest. He read comics in his bed. He got his medicine and drank more herbal tea. He slept, and then drank some chicken soup. He got well on Monday evening. His mother was very happy.
