About Alexander Graham Bell
Alexander Graham Bell is most famous for his invention of the telephone. He first became interested in the science of sound because both his mother and wife were deaf.
His experiments in sound made him curious and he wanted to send a voice signal down a telephone wire. After some time, he had enough money and together with his assistant, Thomas Watson, they made the telephone.
The first words spoken over the telephone were by Alexander on March 10, 1876. They were "Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you". Bell wanted to be the first person to make and sell the telephone. At that time there were other scientists who had the same idea. He found other people interested in his idea and together they formed the Bell Telephone Company in 1877.
