Aesop’s Fable - The Ant and the Grasshopper
The grasshopper likes singing and dancing in summer. The ant sees the grasshopper dancing but the ant is working. He is spending all his time preparing for winter and the lazy grasshopper is enjoying the sunshine and summer warmth. The hardworking ant tells the grasshopper to work but the grasshopper thinks there is enough time to prepare for winter and says “All you ants do is work all day. You should be more like me and play, play, play.” The ant doesn’t say anything, he goes on working.
After that, winter comes. The ant has enough food for winter but the grasshopper has nothing to eat. The grasshopper wants food from the ant.
The grasshopper learns a lesson: you should work today to prepare for the future.
