African elephants are the biggest elephants and the biggest land mammals in the world. An African elephant's family is called a herd. Herds can have 8 - 100 elephants. The leader of the herd is the oldest or biggest female elephant. When a baby elephant is born, the whole herd cares for it.

Orcas are large whales that can be found in all the oceans of the world. An orca’s family is called a pod. The leaders of the pods are the oldest female orcas. Pods can have 5 - 40 orcas. Children in orca families stay with their mothers for their entire lives. They can live to be up to 90 years old.

Wolf Spiders live all around the world. They have eight eyes. These eyes help them hunt and take care of their children. Wolf spiders can have 100 babies. All these babies ride on their mother’s back until they are old enough to leave. When the babies leave, the Wolf Spider lives alone.
