Age and Fashion
There is this idea that as we get older, we care about our appearance less and less. However, this is far from true. This misconception mostly comes from the fact that as we age, our features change and finding the right fashion for our new features is a process that a lot of us do not have the patience to deal with in old age. Another culprit is the fashion industry itself, which ignores the elderly and tries to cater to younger people, who obviously tend to buy more new things which are just in. Following are some tips that can definitely work for everyone.
Look at your clothes as one unit with different pieces! A lot of people make the mistake of buying clothes as individual items. Their items of clothing might be very high-quality and in style, but when put together, they might lack the cohesion that is needed to make a person look good.
Be picky about the clothes you buy! It is very important to select clothing that makes you look good in the end, and to achieve this, you need to avoid buying clothing at first sight. As we age, we might have a huge wardrobe with dozens of clothing articles, none of which go together. Make sure you choose your clothing not simply because they are fashionable or cheap, but because they make you look good and feel good in the long run.
Choose comfortable clothing! Have you ever seen young people who go to extreme lengths to look fashionable, even if they sacrifice their comfort? Well, don’t be like them! Always take your comfort into consideration. Remember that clothes are not just about looking good; you should, as I said above, feel good in them as well.
