Alan's New School

Dear David,

How are you? I am great! I really like my new school. Everything about it is wonderful: the teachers, the classrooms, my new friends and the food are all amazing. Everybody has been very kind and welcoming. The classrooms are carpeted with large windows and very comfortable desks. Our Maths teacher is also our headmaster and his name is John Crook. He is a really nice guy.

Let me tell you a bit about our school. It is a private school called Halliford School. We start our classes at 8.50 and finish at 3.55. I usually meet my friend at half-past eight. We meet our other friends in the playground before school and have a chat while we drink our morning cup of tea. We have lunch from 12.40 to 1.50. We have lots of lessons like Maths, English, Geography, History, Handicras, P.E., Art, Music, and Computing. I really like all the classes and I think they are so important and interesting. Our school uniform is a navy blue blazer with the school badge on it, grey trousers, a grey or white shirt, grey socks, black shoes and a tie. In winter we can wear pullovers and coats. We also have a special uniform for football and P.E. classes.

We have to wear our uniforms and we cannot be late for school or classes. We must give our homework to the teachers on time. If a student has a bike, it must be safe and in good condition and we should always be courteous, considerate and use our common sense.

We also spend a lot of time out of school, for example, we have been to famous museums and other interesting places in London with our teachers.
