Alex's First Funfair Experience
I’ve been to funfairs lots of times, and every time, I had a lot of fun. However, the first time was really scary. I was only 7 years old. My parents took me to the funfair in our city. At first, it was fun. We went there in the evening, so there were lots of bright lights and a lot of people. They were riding trains, throwing balls and dolls and eating ice cream. I felt so happy, but soon the happiness turned into fear. My parents loved riding a roller coaster, so they went straight to the roller coaster and took me with them. There was a special seat on the roller coaster for parents and one child. We sat there, and I had no idea what was going to happen. When the roller coaster cars moved down at a high speed and everybody screamed, I started crying. Then, the roller coaster turned upside down, and I started feeling sick. To forget my fear, I closed my eyes and started screaming like everybody else. When the ride ended, I couldn’t feel my legs, and I started crying again. After that, I couldn’t do or eat anything for an hour because I felt sick, so my parents took me home and helped me forget the horrible experience.
