Alison: An Email To A Friend

Dear Jordan,

Thanks for your email, it is great to hear from you again.

Things are going well here in Switzerland. The weather is really cold though so I’m sitting on the sofa in a jumper, scarf, hat and blanket! My friend is making dinner at the moment. She is cooking a curry and it smells delicious. I love curries. Do you?

The town where I am staying is really nice. It is pretty and green and there are lots of trees and flowers everywhere. I like towns that have lots of trees. There are also lots of shops and small cafes. There is a tram that goes all through the town. There is a big university too and lots of students everywhere. 

My mum telephoned me yesterday. She is happy in her new house but she misses our old neighbours and the old neighbourhood. My brother is going to college in September. He is very excited but also a bit nervous. 

Gotta go now. My friend is calling me – dinner is ready! Take care of yourself
