AMAZING WEEKEND
Alice: This weekend will be A-MAZ-ING! I’m so excited Dad.
Dad: Me too. Last weekend was so much fun. I’m glad you liked the Science Museum. So, do you want to go to the planetarium or the theatre tomorrow?
Alice: What’s a planetarium?
Dad: It’s a building where you can learn about the planets and space.
Alice: Hmm, I’m not really interested in space Dad. Can we go to the theatre?
Dad: Sure. What kind of performance do you want to see?
Alice: Is there anything with music and dance?
Dad: Yes. Actually, it’s starting tomorrow. It’s called The Wizard of Oz. How about that?
Alice: Oh, I know that story. Remember I read the book last year. It’s cool! Can I bring my camera and take some photos do you think?
Dad: I’m afraid you can’t take a photo during the performance Alice. It’s forbidden.
Alice: Really? Why? I just wanted to share the photos with my friends.
Dad: Actors and the actresses concentrate on their roles. If you take a photo that might disturb them.
Alice: Oh, I see. Do you think I can take a photo after the show?
Dad: Definitely. I’m sure they’ll like it, too.
Alice: Can I bring The Wizard of Oz book with me? It has got the song lyrics and I want to sing along.
Dad: That’s a very good idea. Maybe I can sing with you, too.
Alice: Oh, and let’s buy some popcorn and soda before the show!
Dad: Alice you can’t eat food in the theatre. It’s not a movie theatre.
Alice: Oh, OK Dad. Can we please have some ice cream after the show?
Dad: Well, of course! You know how I love ice cream. Now, that’s a plan!
