An Informal E-mail to a Friend
Hi Benjamin,
I am writing this e-mail to talk to you about some problems I have with my family. As you know I am in a summer camp right now. Everything is great here including the lessons, the teachers and my friends. However, last week I forgot to charge my mobile phone and I realized that the mobile phone was off after an hour. My family tried to call me at that time and as you can guess they couldn’t reach me. They were so worried about me because it was the first time that I was away from them. You know how much they depend on me but they should understand that I am a teenager now. I have grown up. I am sure that you will agree with me since you are at the same ages with me, I think you can understand me much better. Oh, I forgot to tell you what happened then. Later, when we talked on the phone, they were very angry with me. They told me that I was very irresponsible because of not charging my mobile phone on time and we argued about this for a while. How is your relationship with your family? Do you argue about anything? Do you listen to each other very well? Please answer these questions in your following e-mail. I need some good suggestions from a friend. I love my family but I don’t like it when they behave as if I was a child. They should accept me as a teenager and they should learn how to listen to me and my problems in a more mature way.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please write me soon.
Steven
