AN UNFORTUNATE BIRTHDAY GIRL

I have a story to tell you about my best friend Emily and her last birthday. Emily and I have been friends for six years. Birthday celebrations have always been a big thing for Emily. So last year, her family organized a big party in their garden for her 17th birthday. She was very excited and happy because her parents invited all her friends. Everything was ready on 21th May. They decorated thegarden with Emily’s favourite flowers, white and pink roses. There were delicious cupcakes and cookies on the tables for the guests. There were colourful balloons on the pool. There was even a band. Around 2 p.m., Emily’s guests arrived. They put their presents around the pool. Everything looked so beautiful. Everyone was cheerful and the music was lively. Suddenly, it started to rain heavily. The cupcakes and cookies on the tables got wet. Chair were wet, and the music stopped. Many of the guests left before Emily even blew out the candles of her birthday cake. Her beautiful white dress got wet and dirty. She got so upset and started to cry. I have always had clever idea for such cases. I had an idea for that day, too. I took Emily for a walk, so she relaxed. It was still raining but we did not care. While we were out, the others put a few chairs and tables inside the house. The drawing room of the house was big enough for a small party. Everything was ready when we got back. Emily was very surprised and went upstairs happily to change her dress. It was the most memorable party ever for Emily.
