AN UNUSUAL PROTEST

AN UNUSUAL PROTEST

This is Max from World News. It’s a chilly afternoon in London. We are here to show you an unusual protest. Can you see the women over there? They are protesting housework! Yes, they are! They are a group of housewives living in London and they have been here for the last couple of days trying to tell their husbands that they are fed up with all the housework they have to do. Now we will talk to one of them.

Reporter: Hello madam. Can I ask you a few questions?

Mrs. Weston: Sure.

Reporter: What are you doing here? What are you protesting?

Mrs. Weston: We do all the housework and take care of the kids all day. We are fed up with that! We are standing here because we want people to see how tiring this is! Husbands should help women or they will not live long!

Reporter: OK. What about the reactions? Do you think people understand what you want to say?

Mrs. Weston: Most of them do. Some women took photos of us to show their husbands and a lot of reporters from TV channels, just like you, came to us and asked questions.

Reporter: That’s good. So, how long are you planning to go on with the protest?

Mrs. Weston: We are planning to stay here until our husbands come and say they will share the work at home. We are waiting for them.
