Andy and Mike

Andy : What are your plans for this weekend, Mike?

Mike : Lots of things! My cousin is coming over to my house on Saturday morning. We are going to the new shopping mall. We are going to see the new film. We’ve already bought tickets. Then, we are going to eat lunch but we haven’t decided on the restaurant yet. So we are going to decide there.

Andy : Great! Are you going to see the new film of Brad Pitt’s?

Mike : No, I haven’t seen it yet and I really want to but on Saturday we are going to see the latest Star Wars movie. Then, we are going to go back and clean the garden because we are having a big family breakfast on Sunday.

Andy : Right!

Mike : But, it’s not going to be difficult for us because my parents are going to help us with that.

Andy : That sounds great! Is it a family tradition?

Mike : Actually, yes! Every year, during the first weekend of June, we gather in one of the family houses and have fun. This year, it’s in our house. My parents are really excited because there will be around 30 guests. Luckily, they are not staying over.

Andy : Wow! It’s going to be a big gathering. You should help your parents, I guess.

Mike : Yes! I’m setting the table and carrying the food to the garden. My mum is cooking lots of things and my dad is preparing the barbecue.

Andy : Well, I hope you have a great weekend.

Mike : Thanks! How about you? If you don’t have any plans, why don’t you join us?

Andy : That’d be lovely but I have my exams next week so I’m going to stay at home and study.
