Animal Families
Every animal is a part of a family group. Mammals have hair. They are warm-blooded. Their babies drink milk. Cats, dogs and bears are mammals. Reptiles have scales. They are cold-blooded. They lay eggs. Crocodiles, lizards and snakes are reptiles. Birds lay eggs. They have feathers. Some birds can often fly. Owls, ducks and parrots are birds. Insects lay eggs, too. They are cold-blooded. They have six legs. Butterflies, beetles and spiders are insects.
