Animal Shelter

Ms Lauren: Thank you so much, Brian, for bringing us this lovely kitten. You saved her. Let’s give her some cat food first.

Brian: No big deal, Ms Lauren. I don’t want animals to feel bad.

Ms Lauren: You’re such a kind boy. I sometimes see you playing with the animals in the neighbourhood.

Brian: Yes, I love animals.

Ms Lauren: I think it’s your first time at our shelter. Would you like to see more animals that we keep here?

Brian: Sure. Is your shelter for domestic animals only?

Ms Lauren: Well, most of the animals we have here can be good pets. So, sometimes we find wild animals that people keep as pets, but we don’t keep them here.

Brian: Is there a special shelter for them?

Ms Lauren: We send them to the zoo so they stay there. Then, after some time, the zoo puts them back in nature if possible.

Brian: It’s sad that people keep wild animals as pets. I think it’s better for them to be in nature.
