At the Animal Shelter

My family and I are at an animal shelter today. We want to adopt a pet and there are many animals to choose from. Unfortunately it is difficult for us because we can’t decide on one! My dad wants a dog. He thinks they are great pets. You can take them for a walk, play games with them and teach them how to carry things. My mum doesn’t like them. She thinks they can jump on your bed and bark all night. My sister wants a rabbit. She thinks they are fun. They can skip and run. They can also wiggle their ears. My dad doesn’t like them. He thinks they can eat all the vegetables we have in our garden. My brother wants a snake. He wants one so he can scare his friends. All of us think that’s a terrible idea. Snakes can bite you! I think a cat is perfect for our family. They can jump, climb, play games and scare mice. Cats are the best pets to have. I think my family agrees with me. Now we have to decide what we are going to name it!
