At The Library
Sheila is returning the books which she borrowed last year to the library of her school.
Sheila: Hello, Mr Hill, I’d like to return these books. I was cleaning my room this morning, and I realised I’d forgotten to return them.
Mr Hill: Hi, Sheila. No problem. Please hand them to Ms Thompson.
Sheila: Do I have to pay a fine?
Mr Hill: Yes, only one dollar for a year. You used to bring all the books back on time. How come you forgot these?
Sheila: Well, when I finished the exams last year, we’d moved to another house. I’d packed my books in a box, and these books were among them.
Mr Hill: I see.
Sheila: Oh, I’d forgotten this too, my membership card. Do I have to renew it?
Mr Hill: Yes, I’ll do it for you right now. By the way, when did you take this photo?
Sheila: Oh, I know! I look different in that photo! I’d taken it long before I came to this school. Here, this one’s new.
Mr Hill: Thank you. I’ll get back to you
