Autumn is the season that comes after summer and before winter. There are three months in autumn. They are September, October and November. There are many changes in nature in autumn. The days are shorter in autumn than they are in summer. Leaves start to change colour because there is less sunlight. Leaves change colours from green to red, yellow, orange and brown.

Finally, brown-coloured leaves fall from trees. Streets are full of coloured leaves in autumn. Some people like walking near trees in autumn.

The weather also changes in autumn. It is warm at the beginning of autumn. Then, it is cold at the end of autumn. Autumn is colder than summer, but autumn is warmer than winter. It rains a lot in autumn. There is thunder and lightning because autumn is stormy. It is not so humid in autumn. We don’t wear shorts in autumn because the weather isn’t warm; we wear long trousers and jackets instead.

The best season for some fruits and vegetables is autumn. Some autumn fruits are apples and grapes. Some autumn vegetables are carrots and spinach. Animals and insects search for food and save what they find because it is very cold in winter. Schools start in autumn. Students like autumn because they go to school. Teachers’ Day is in autumn. Autumn is a really nice season. Some people like autumn, but some people don’t like autumn. Do you like autumn?
