BANKSY
Banksy is a very well-known British street artist. He was born in 1974 in Bristol, England. When he was a teenager, street art was becoming very popular. Banksy started to draw and write in public places around the city with his friends. You can still see some of his early pictures in Bristol. They have become a tourist attraction because they are both clever and funny.
Banksy now paints on streets, walls, train stations, and bridges in cities all over the world. His work is usually about problems in different countries, politics, and other important subjects. However, it is really surprising that Banksy doesn’t want people to find out who he really is, and nobody knows his true name. He does not sell photographs of his art, but many of his fans, including pop stars and Hollywood actors, collect his work and pay a lot of money for it. Several of his street paintings have been displayed in art galleries in Britain and the United States. He even put a piece of his work in an exhibition in the British Museum without anybody seeing. It was days before anyone found it, but it is still in the museum today.
