BBC HUMAN PLANET: RIVERS

BBC HUMAN PLANET: RIVERS

The BBC series Human Planet is about the lifestyles of people around the world. The programme called ‘RIVERS’ looks at the life of people who live by rivers.

Rivers are alive. They change with the four seasons. Rivers give us many things; freshwater, food, and ways to go from place to place. But life on a river is sometimes difficult and dangerous. Some rivers can hurt us and make us sick.

Sam Nang and his family live by the Mekong River near the Khone Falls. He sees rivers as the source of life. He uses traditional nets to catch fish.
