People need food to live. If you want to live longer, you have to eat healthy food. But this is not enough. There are other things you have to do to be healthy. Doctors give some advice for healthy living. You can read their advice below.

• Have 4 meals a day.

You have to have breakfast, lunch, a light snack, and dinner every day. It is very important. If you don’t eat one of them, you will feel sleepy during the day. You can get sick quickly. Food gives you energy. You have to have 4 meals a day.

• Eat slowly and chew food very well.

You have to eat slowly and chew food well, because it makes your stomach happy. This way, you cut your food into little pieces so you help your stomach.

• Drink 8 glasses of water every day.

Doctors say don’t drink bottled or canned juice a lot because it contains lots of sugar. Sugar is not good for you. You have to drink 8 glasses of water every day, because your body needs water. You can also drink fresh fruit juice because it is healthy.

• Eat fruit and vegetables, but don’t eat fast food.

Hamburgers, fried potatoes, and pizzas are called fast food.  They are not healthy. Don’t eat them. You have to eat fruit and vegetables every day. They have good things in them. They help you to grow.
