Being New in a New Town

Being New in a New Town

Jennifer and her parents moved to a new town, but they didn’t know much about the town. Jennifer was a little worried about moving to a new place. She asked her mum and dad for help, but they were in the same situation. She thought about this problem and found a solution. At her new school, she asked her new classmate Nick about the town, and he agreed to help her. The next day, Nick surprised Jennifer with a map he drew that showed every place in the town that Jennifer needed to know about. He also wrote useful information about those places on the map. When she looked at the map, Jennifer became happy because it included the places she wanted to find. According to the map, the library was just opposite the school, so she could go there after school to study. There was a shopping centre behind her house, so her mum and dad could shop very easily. Also, there was a supermarket next to the shopping centre. They could go there to buy some groceries. The only problem was the underground station. It was between the newsagent and the museum, and they weren’t very close to her house. Now, Jennifer is excited to tell her mum and dad about their new town.
