Best Rock Fest Ever!

 Last weekend I went to the most amazing rock festival with my friends. The best part of the festival for me was when Amy Lee came on. I have never seen a performance like it before. I have never heard a singer like her before either. It was incredible. If you are a fan of Evanescence, I am sure you know what I mean.

I have always liked rock music. I’ve been a fan of rock music since I was in the 6th grade. Now I’m in my final year at high school. When my friends Michael and Lisa told me about the Rock Festival in Austin, I wasn’t very interested in going at first. I had a maths exam the day before, and I was exhausted because I studied so hard all week. I have never been great at maths so I always have to work really hard before an exam - I haven’t heard from my teacher yet, but I think it went well. Anyway, when Michael told me that I should come along, I wasn’t sure. Then he said, “Dave, you haven’t been to a rock festival like this before. It’s the best rock fest in Texas.” I said, “Ok, let’s go!”

The festival was on all weekend but Amy Lee’s concert started at 8 o'clock on Saturday. It lasted for two fabulous hours. It was the best live music experience I have ever had. The festival was so well organized, too. They even had free drinks, free sandwiches and blankets for people who might be cold at night. I don’t know if you have ever been to a rock festival before, but I will not miss the next one… And I hope Amy Lee will be there, too!
