BROKEN HOPES

I have lived in Stockholm since I was born. I was an attorney at law registered to Stockholm Bar and was working in a big law firm when I decided to quit. I was rich but also bored. Last year one of my friends said he was going to America to do business and 1) ...................................... ......................... Of course, I agreed. How stupid I was!

At first, 2) ............................................................... I had money and I rented a nice house in LA. The next thing I did was to buy a top model car. I made a few new friends there too. But then something bad happened. That night my temperature went up and I was too weak to drive to the hospital. I called my friend who I came with to LA. It was the shock of my life to learn that he went back to Stockholm. How come he could leave the country without saying anything? It was frustrating! Unfortunately, I had to go to the hospital alone and 3) ............................... ................................ I didn’t have a health insurance in America and I had to pay the heavy bill, to top it all off, my car wasn’t there anymore. I was too sick to go to the police station, so I took a cab and went home. 4)............................................................... I booked my flight and flew back to Stockholm the next day.

I have been home in Stockholm for two weeks now. I have spent a fortune in America unnecessarily 5)............................................................ and worse than that I have been unemployed since then. Resigning from the office was a part of my decision while going to America. I have made several mistakes from the beginning to the end.
