Camping Alone

Last weekend Neil and his sister Ally went camping in the mountains. Neil was a bit excited because this was the first time they were camping without their parents. They slept late and told stories about wild animals.

Suddenly, Neil heard something, and he woke up. There was a large animal in front of him. “What should I do?” he said, he was terrified. He didn’t want to wake up his sister. Ally was already asleep. “Should I sit? No”, he thought, “that may frighten the animal. I must be calm and quiet.” He could see the animal clearly now. It was a bear! The bear looked very fierce and strong. It was coming closer and closer. Neil couldn’t control himself. He shouted, “Help! Help!”

“What’s going on?” asked Ally, waking up from her sleep. “What’s wrong?” Neil opened his eyes. It was just a nightmare. He had a very bad dream.
