Camping in the Desert
Hi, I’m Jennifer. This week we’re going camping in the desert near our city. Deserts are fun places, but they can be dangerous too. There are lots of dangerous insects and snakes everywhere.
We must pack sleeping bags because it gets very cold at night. The weather in the desert is dry, so we must drink lots of water during the day. It’s usually sunny in the desert, so we must wear a hat or a cap during the day. When we feel sick, we must talk to the group leader.
Hi, my name is David, and I’m a camping group leader. This week, I’m taking 45 students to the desert. We want to stay there for three nights. I hope they’ll like it.
In the desert, there aren’t big wild animals, but some animals can be dangerous – for example, snakes. You must light your campfires away from the tents. You mustn’t sit on the sand. Some dangerous insects may be under you in the sand. Always sit on a rock, or put a rug on the sand before you sit.
