Captain Lena

Hi Captain Lena,

How are things with you? It was great talking to you yesterday online, even if the connection wasn’t great! I really enjoyed our conversation.

I can’t wait to arrive on Planet Zobiat to see all those fantastic places you talked about and to meet the locals. Our journey will take about four months.

Let me tell you something about the things we have seen so far on our travels. We started on Planet Duma and then quite quickly moved on to Planet Teria, where we have been exploring its many mountain ranges for the past two years. We have seen a lot of flying creatures here. They have almost all been very friendly – just the giant vampire bats are a bit hostile sometimes. All these creatures have been living on their planet for more than 200 million years. They have got a great history and culture. The only bad thing about the planet is the weather - it has been raining the whole time we have been here. Can you believe it? The inhabitants on this planet are so used to being wet all the time.

I have to say I prefer the sound of your sunny planet! By the way, we have been lucky to meet some interesting inhabitants of other planets, too. They come here to get clean water supplies. Some of them say they still have eruptions on the surface of their planets, and they need clean water that doesn’t contain harmful dust. Some come here to get the latest technology. Teria’s lowland people have developed a lot of extremely innovative technological gadgets. Their spaceships are equipped with some really amazing technology.

They have fantastic computer systems and it is clear they are more advanced than ours.

Speak again soon,

Lieutenant Dexara
