Captain Sarah and a News Reporter
Reporter: Dear Sarah, thank you for your time. I’d like to ask you some questions about your job. What do you do in the middle of the ocean?
Sarah: Well, I am the captain on this boat.
Reporter: Is it a holiday boat?
Sarah: No, it’s a fishing boat.
Reporter: Do you work alone?
Sarah: Well, no. I have got five sailors working with me, and we have a cook.
Reporter: A cook? Where does he or she work on the boat?
Sarah: He works in a small kitchen. He cooks fresh and delicious fish for us.
Reporter: During the day, you go fishing with your crew. What do you do in the evening? Sarah: I like reading, so every night after dinner, I read books. Then I go to bed early because I am very tired at the end of the day. I have to get up very early – at 5 o’clock in the morning. Reporter: Is it a hard job for a woman?
Sarah: People think that I am crazy because it is a very hard job. As a captain, I have to make quick decisions and be on the boat all the time. The boat is my home. I really like being in the ocean, and I have a great crew.
