Changing

Ryan 

I was a very shy student last year. I didn’t usually talk in the classroom and didn’t make friends with students from other classes. Playing football has changed my life. I’m more confident and 

I start conversations with people more easily. Life has been a lot easier for me since I became a popular player. I realised that I don’t need to talk a lot to become popular. 

 

Liz 

I was enemies with one of my classmates, Alice. We always argued and fell out with each other. Our bad relationship divided the class into two groups – those who supported me and those who supported Alice. Last month, we went camping and Alice broke her leg. I helped her a lot because I know first aid. That accident changed our relationship. We made up and haven’t argued since then. 

 

Carlos 

I kept in touch with all my friends and online friends all the time. I really enjoyed talking to different people, but it changed after I had my first girlfriend, Linda. She didn’t like that I was talking to other girls online. I didn’t understand her jealousy, so she left me. I started to feel lonely because she was the only person that truly understood me. I stopped talking to most of my online friends and realised they didn’t care about me at all. I’m sad Linda isn’t with me, but I learnt an important lesson.
