CHILDREN ON THE MOVE
My name is Amira. I am nine years old. I’m from Chicago. I go to an international school far from my house. I usually get the school bus but when I wake up late and miss the bus, my mom drives me to school. It takes about 20 minutes to go to school. My best friend Jackie is lucky. She doesn’t need a car to come to school, she rides her bike. I wish I could come to school by bike, too. Ben’s mom works at school and they live in the dorm inside the school, so he rides his scooter to school. George doesn’t live far but he still gets to school by taxi because his dad is a taxi driver. Holly is the only one who walks to school; her house is opposite the school but she’s always late to school.
