Christina’s Letter

Dear Grandma,

Today I started a new project at school. It’s about recycling. Unfortunately, many students in my school don’t know about recycling. I see them putting paper in the dust bin. They also waste a lot of paper. Somebody took five pieces of paper in the art lesson and didn’t even use them. At the end of the class, he put them all into the bin. We decided students should learn to separate plastic, metal and paper. We put three big bins in the corridor. We labelled them as plastic, paper and cans. Then in break time, all 3rd-grade students gathered in the corridor. My teacher and I showed them a video about the rubbish in the seas and forests. The students got very sad when they saw the whales and sharks eating the rubbish in the sea. So, they all know paper, cans and plastic should go to a recycling plant, not to nature. I hope they remember this lesson.

Love,

Christina
