CINDERELLA
Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl called Cinderella who lived in the north of England. She had had a life full of happiness before her mother passed away. When her father got married again, her step mother came to live with them with her two daughters. These two girls and her step mother didn’t like Cinderella at all. They treated her very badly. Cinderella had to sleep in front of the chimney in the kitchen. She had to wake up early in the morning every day, start the fire and do all chores. She was very unhappy.
One day, her step mother got an invitation to a ball at the Prince’s house. It was time for the Prince to find
a bride. Her step sisters went crazy with joy. Maybe the Prince would choose one of them. Soon the time came for the ball and her step mother left home with
her two ugly daughters. Cinderella wanted to go to the ball too but they didn’t take her. Then she heard someone talking to her. The voice said, “I am your Fairy Godmother. I know your wish and I have come to grant it.”
Cinderella was all clean and dressed in a beautiful blue gown thanks to the magic her fairy did. She went to the Prince’s house in a carriage with a driver and white horses. That night she was the star of the party and the Prince fell in love with her, but she had to leave the ball before midnight because her fairy had told her that the magic would last only until midnight. The Prince looked for her everywhere with one glass slipper that had fallen off her foot. At last he found her and they lived happily ever after.
