CLASS PRESIDENT
My name is Valerie. Last month I gave a big speech to all of my classmates. I wanted to be class president. I promised longer break times, a new playground, new computer equipment for our classroom and iPads for every student if they chose me to be the president. All my friends were really excited and they chose me to be the new class president. I was very happy to be the president because I want to be the mayor of my city when I grow up. I was so nervous before my first meeting with my teacher as class president. All my friends were excited for their new iPads, and I wanted to buy them as soon as possible. Then my teacher told me that we didn't have money for any iPads. She said we could buy a book about iPads and make photocopies for all the students. Then she said we can't change the break times because the school makes those decisions. She told me that we will get a new playground next year and maybe a new computer too. Oh no! That was all bad news, and now I have to tell my friends about it. What will they say?
