CLUBS ARE FUN
You are tired of doing nothing? Why don’t you try to enjoy yourself while learning something new? There are thousands of activities you can try! How about joining in a club at school? There are many good reasons to start a club and take up a new hobby. By doing so, you not only meet with new people and socialize but also gain experience in various topics.
There are different types of clubs. For instance, subject area clubs are clubs that are related to a subject area taught in school. Art, Drama, Film, Science, Math, Literature, History, and Language clubs are some of them
For example, in Sculpture Club you can analyse famous sculptures, work on your own sculptures, get feedback on your work from other club members, plan a trip to a local museum, and plan a spring break trip to view sculptures in person.
Maybe history clubs grab your attention. In Ancient History Club, you can discuss different ancient cultures at each meeting, bring in an Ancient History specialist to discuss their knowledge, or even host an ancient civilizations costume contest.
Hobby clubs are clubs that stem from an interest in a hobby that most likely wouldn’t be taught in high school. Chess, anime, video games, and skiing clubs can be defined as hobby clubs.
For instance, in Video Games Club, you can host a video game competition, discuss the evolution of video game technology, and bring in a person who works at a video game company to discuss possible careers in the video game world.
Charity clubs are clubs that are linked to a specific charity with the goal of raising awareness, working for that charity, or raising money for that charity.
For example, in The Children’s Hospital Volunteer Club, you can organize volunteer opportunities at a local children’s hospital, and host a bake sale to raise money to donate.
