Cold Day

I hear children shouting outside. I can see them from my window.  They are having lots of fun. My little brother is there too. Yesterday was a sunny day. Now there is a lot of snow on the ground and on the trees. My brother is under a tree. A boy throws a ball at the tree. Oh no! There isn’t any snow on the tree now. The snow is on my brother’s head! He was very happy, but now he is sad. He cries loudly. My mum was in the kitchen. She’s outside now. She hears my brother’s voice. She says “It’s OK Larry. It’s only snow. My brother says “But I was warm and happy, now I’m cold!” Mum takes him into the house. They are in the kitchen together. Mum makes hot chocolate. It’s very hot. My brother can’t wait. He puts some snow in the hot chocolate. Now it’s cool and he can drink it. He is finally happy.
