Company Characters

I work in an office in Istanbul. The company I work for is average-sized, and there are people working in different areas all over Turkey. I am a coordinator, so I have to arrange things for other people. You have to be very patient, calm and practical to do my job. It also helps to be organised and to make lots of lists. 

We have a sales department and the people who work in sales have to be enthusiastic, cheerful and sociable. They have to deal with lots of different kinds of people; some of whom can be quite aggressive and unpleasant at times, so the sales team also need to be very patient and polite

There is a marketing department in our company. The team isn’t big, so they need to work very hard. I think that to be in marketing you have to be analytical, creative and flexible. Many times they come up with ideas, which are very creative and ingenious, but they are not approved so the marketing team has to re-work them over and over again. This is why it is good to be flexible. 

The management team is based in Istanbul. I think it must be very difficult to manage all these different characters, especially from a distance. They tend to be very serious, punctual and ambitious. They also have to be patient and honest, as well as thoughtful.
