COOL JOBS

1. SEAT FILLER
Do you like celebrities? Do you also like big events like the Oscar Ceremony? Then this might be the right job for you! Producers of big televised events do not like empty seats because it looks bad on camera, especially if they are in the first ten rows or so where the nominees sit, and which are most visible to the television audience. So when a celebrity guest gets out of his or her seat for any reason - to give an acceptance speech for instance - or if a guest is late to arrive, the producers quickly fill that empty seat with a seat filler. Seat fillers occupy the seat until the celebrity returns and then wait for the next assignment.
2. NATIONAL PARK SERVICE
Have you ever dreamed of spending an entire summer in a National Park but are still waiting to win the lottery before fulfilling that dream? As long as you can answer a phone, fry a burger, carry luggage, or make a pizza or a bed, you probably qualify for a seasonal job in a National Park. Better yet, these positions generally provide employee housing and meals as well as the chance to make friends with people from all corners of the globe. Not an American citizen? No problem! Concessionaires in American’s National Parks accept international applicants. The working adventure of a lifetime is waiting for you.
3. GAME TESTER
Are you an avid gamer? Do you spend a lot of time on your game console? Are you a virtual sharp shooter in Halo or Titanfall? Or a light dabbler in Minecraft? Regardless, how would you like to be paid to do what you like most? Did you know you could play World of Warcraft for a living? Getting compensated to roam Azeroth seems like an ideal job to me, but then what will you do for relaxation, if your cool job is to play video games? How do you get this cool job? Keep in mind that gaming testing jobs don’t pay a lot but one option is to go online and do a search for available video game tester positions. Good luck.
4. BIKER PHOTOGRAPHER
Got a bike helmet? Will travel? Google hired two lucky young men to ride around France on dopey-looking tricycles snapping photos of historical sites that are inaccessible by car. This three-wheeler is equipped with a long pole holding nine cameras, a GPS system, a computer and a generator. The riders, wearing Google t-shirts and white helmets pull all that gear around the French capital to do their job - adding three-dimensional images to Google’s Street View Maps. Similarly, Google has also mapped the paths on and around college campuses and is doing so with a tricycle equipped with the same sophisticated camera technology. Is this a computer job? An arts job? A sports job? All of the above? What do you think? For sure, it’s a cool job.
