Cristian’s Exciting Day

 

11th August 1999 was an exciting day in Bucharest. Back then I was only 14 years old.
Everybody in the city checked the time and looked at the sky. They wanted to see the full solar eclipse in the afternoon.

I didn’t wait for my mother to give me money.
I had some money in my pocket, so I ran to the street to buy the special glasses.
The TV said it was dangerous to look at a solar eclipse without those glasses.
My friend Alexandru had a telescope, so I went to his house to watch the eclipse. He didn’t have a camera,
so he was happy to see me with a camera.

At about 2 o’clock, the Sun was completely dark. Everybody clapped and shouted.
It was their first time to see a solar eclipse. The eclipse finished after two minutes, but I took thirty pictures.
