Dad and Mel
1. Read the dialogue and write the names of the people.
Dad: Mel, can you do me a favour?
Mel: Sure, what can I do for you dad ?
Dad: Can you take these books to the library? I can’t go, I’m busy today.
Mel: No worries, I’ll take them dad.
Later...(on the phone)
Dad: Mel, can you go to the newsagent’s and buy me a magazine?
Mel: The newsagent’s? I don’t know where it is? Is is far?
Dad: No, it’s opposite the cinema, next to the post office.
Mel: Oh, yeah. OK, dad . I need to buy a new notebook, I remember now. Can I go to the supermarket first?
Dad: Sure, I don’t need the magazine now.
A bit later....
Dad: Hello, again Mel. Can you do me another favour? We need toothpaste. Can you buy one when yo u go to the supermarket?
Mel: OK, dad.
Even later....
Mel: Excuse me. Can I come in?
Security: I’m afraid not. We’re closed
