Dale Chihuly
Dale Chihuly is an American artist who is known for his incomparable glassworks, especially sculptures. He was born in 1941. He lost his brother and father when he was in high school. Thanks to his mother, he stayed motivated and was able to move on. He became interested in glassblowing and creating artwork with it. He graduated from the University of Washington in Interior Design. One year later, he got a scholarship and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he got a Master of Arts degree in sculpture. He lost one of his eyes and had a problem with his shoulder, but he didn’t stop working on different unique designs. He has created lots of glasswork: ceilings, chandeliers, baskets, towers and many more objects. They all attract everyone because of their unique and colorful designs. You can see his works in different museums around the world. In 1999, more than one million people visited his “Chihuly in the Light of Jerusalem” exhibition in the Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem.
