Dead Men Tell No Tales

1) Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is one of my favourite films. It is an adventure film starring Johnny Depp and Kaya Scodelario and it’s the latest film in the series.

2) The story is set in an imaginary world of pirates. Captain Jack Sparrow searches for the Poseidon while he is being chased by an undead sea captain, Captain Salazar, and his crew. Captain Salazar is determined to kill every pirate at sea. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival is to find the Poseidon.

3) The special effects were amazing, especially the terrifying face of Captain Salazar. The acting was excellent too, despite the fact that the screenplay wasn’t very good. I especially liked Javier Bardem who played the Captain Salazar. I must say that Jack Sparrow’s (Johnny Depp) performance was absolutely disappointing. He was not convincing in this film. It was as if he was still acting in the previous series. The violence is as much as the previous films, lots of slashing with swords, ghost shark attacks, canons and guns although there is hardly any blood. 

4) Like the other films in the series, it is full of action and really gripping although I think the third film in the series was a bit better. Compared to the third film, the latest film looks a bit tiring. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it.
